Description

Chandler House is an 18th-century cottage in a terrace, likely altered in the late 20th century, possibly involving a refronting of an earlier dwelling. The exterior is roughcast over a rubble base, with a slate roof featuring sprockets and decorative ridge tiles. The building has a 2-cell and cross-passage plan, with a rear extension. It is two storeys high and three bays wide. The first floor has 2-light casement windows with many panes. The ground floor has 16-pane sash windows under lintels, with two to the right and one to the left of the entrance. The entrance is a half-glazed 20th-century door sheltered by a pentice slab supported by decorative wrought iron brackets. The building is primarily listed for its group value.
