Description
Mill House is a row of three cottages, now functioning as two dwellings, likely built in the early 17th century and altered in the 20th century. The exterior is roughcast over rubble with a slate roof. It features a large external stepped stack on the left gable end and another brick stack to the left of center. The layout includes a central dwelling that is a single cell with a cross passage, flanked by two cell and cross passage dwellings, with the site sloping away to the left. The building is two storeys high with six bays, showcasing a mix of two and three-light late 19th-century and mid-20th-century casements. All entrances consist of six-panel doors with the upper two panels glazed, topped with pentice hoods supported by decorative wooden brackets. There are three raking buttresses of varying sizes in the end bays on the left. The interiors have not been viewed. This picturesque group of buildings frames the view of the Church of St Mary to the southwest.
