Description

Bagborough House is a mid-19th century house that incorporates some remains from the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with freestone dressings, featuring coped verges and a slate roof. The house has ashlar stacks with moulded caps and a finial, and is designed in the Tudor style. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a layout of two bays on the left and one bay on the right. The windows are stone-mullioned, with two and three lights, each having glazing bars, and there is a casement window in each light. The right bay projects under a front-facing gable, while the left side has a projecting chimney-breast.

The entrance is located in a single-storeyed porch with a 4-centred arch, and the inner doorway features a ribbed and studded door. At the rear of the house, there are 17th-century windows. The property includes a forecourt surrounded by rubble walling in several sections of varying heights, topped with freestone copings. To the east, there is an attached walled garden with additional rubble walling.
