Description
Compton House is an early 19th-century house located on East Compton Lane in Pilton. It is constructed of Doulting ashlar stone and features a moulded cornice, a parapet with coping, and coped verges. The building has an M-shaped slate roof with end ashlar stacks. The symmetrical front has two storeys and three bays, with 12-pane sash windows. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door, with the top four panels being glazed. A stone portico supported by twin Tuscan columns and featuring a flat entablature and moulded cornice enhances the entrance. At the rear, there is a window with a semi-circular head.
