Description
The stables and coach house, located at right angles to the rear of Compton House, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of coursed and squared rubble with dressed quoins, coped verges, and finials, topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. On the first floor, there are 12-pane casements set in dressed stone surrounds. The ground floor features two broad carriageways with cambered heads, also in dressed stone surrounds, and plank doors.
