Description
No. 13 is a house dated 1715, located in Shepton Mallet, Kent. It is constructed of rubble with rough quoins and features a 20th-century double roman tile roof with coped verges and brick stacks that rise through the apex of each gable. The building has a rectangular plan and a symmetrical facade, comprising three storeys and two bays. The windows are 20th-century side-hung casements set in ovolo moulded stone surrounds, with angled labels above, except for the second storey casements, which are set directly into the wall. The central doorway has a stone architrave with ovolo moulded jambs and a plank door. To the left of the entrance, a late 20th-century doorway has been inserted. Above the main entrance is a semi-circular stone plaque with raised stone letters that read "W.I.E 1715".
