Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with early 19th-century alterations and further work from the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with large rough-hewn quoins and features a double Roman tile roof with coped verges and end rubble stacks. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 2:2 bay configuration. It includes 16-pane sash windows set in plain dressed stone surrounds, and a 3-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned window on the right side of the ground floor, which has a stopped label. The door opening is located between the bay sets and features a 19th-century half-glazed door within a moulded 4-centred stone surround, complete with a dripmould. There is also a wing that extends at right angles to the rear. The farmhouse is believed to have been the manor house of East Compton.
