Description
This cottage, located 20 metres north of Higher Farm House, dates back to 1724. It is constructed from local stone squared rubble with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with simple gables. A stone chimney stack is positioned on the east side. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. It has chamfered mullioned windows set in slight recesses, which do not have labels. The windows are fitted with leaded lights, with some featuring iron opening casements. All the windows are two-light, except for the lower bay one, which is four-light. The central door is boarded and set in a heavy frame, topped with a 20th-century concrete hood. A plaque between the upper bay one and two windows displays the date 1724. The interior has not been seen.
