Description
Serts Place and Chutenbunny are a pair of estate cottages built in 1923/24 by Sir Guy Dawber. They are constructed from local stone rubble and feature a hipped plain clay tile roof with a central rubble chimney stack. The cottages have a 'T'-plan layout and stand two storeys tall, with a facade comprising one bay, followed by two bays, and then another bay. The windows are small pane casements with two and three lights, and the entrance doors are boarded with small hexagonal glazed panels in the inner corners of the outer bays. These doors are sheltered by simple flat timber hoods supported by corner brackets, and all openings are topped with flat soldier arches. The interiors have not been seen. These cottages are part of the fully designed estate of Stowell Hill House.
