Description
Lower Farm House is a farmhouse, probably from the 18th century. It is built of local stone coursed rubble with ashlar dressing and features a Welsh slate roof between coped gables, along with brick end chimney stacks. The building has a rectangular plan, with the northern section being an addition. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a three-bay gabled south elevation. The plain ashlar mullioned windows have labels, with a three-light window below and a two-light window above, both fitted with cast iron small pane casements. There are matching circular windows with semi-circular labels and radial glazing in the gable. The central door has a plain surround and label, featuring a wide six-panel door with a glazed toplight, which may have originally been a pair. There are matching windows on the sides. The interior has not been seen.
