Description

This building is an outbuilding located about 20 meters south-west of Greenwood Farmhouse. It was originally a coach house and stable, and it dates from the mid to late 18th century. The structure is built of Flemish bond brick with coped brick verges and has a double-Roman tile roof. It has an L-shaped plan and is a single storey with an attic.

The main front features a segmental carriage opening with brick voussoirs and a stone key, which is flanked by paired 20th-century sliding plank doors. On the left side, there is a plank door, a 19th-century three-light casement window, and a hayloft opening with paired plank doors. The gable end has pigeon holes. At the rear, there is a small single-storey extension with a 19th-century pantile roof, and a broad door opening that has been blocked by corrugated-iron sheeting. Additional attached outbuildings are not of special interest. This outbuilding is included primarily for its group value with Greenwood Farmhouse.
