Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on Alstone Lane (which is marked as Alstone Road on Ordnance Survey maps). The front of the house is rendered and appears as ashlar, while the side and rear elevations are roughcast. It has a hipped roof covered with bitumenised slate, and three tall brick stacks. The two-storey, three-bay symmetrical front features two-light Gothic casement windows with glazing bars. The central door opening has a six-panelled door with a segmental head and a fanlight containing radiating glazing bars, all sheltered by a large, flat wooden hood supported on two chamfered posts. An outbuilding to the right is not considered to be of special interest.
