Lilybank House, Low Askomil Walk, Campbeltown

Lilybank House is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical house located on Low Askomil Walk in Campbeltown. The building features roughcast walls with some ashlar dressings, an eaves course, and projecting cills at the windows. The central entrance door is accessed by a staircase made of concrete and stone steps, which is flanked by a coped roughcast balustrade. Above the entrance, there is a wide margin with a keystone at the center.

On either side of the entrance, there are three-light canted ashlar bay windows that have roughcast bases, radial iron vents, projecting cills, corniced eaves, and metal-clad piended roofs. To the left of the main structure, there is a single-storey modern addition, and to the right, a lean-to timber garage.

The windows are plate glass timber sash and case style, and the roof is covered with grey slate, featuring cast-iron gutters and downpipes. The side elevations have roughcast, coped wallhead stacks.

Additionally, there are random rubble retaining walls at the rear of the house, bordering the driveway and Low Askomil, along with coped and stugged ashlar gatepiers topped with pyramidal caps.
