Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical house with classical details. Cement rendered and lined walls with droved ashlar margins. Base course, cill course at 1st floor, eaves course. Pilastered doorpiece at ground centre with entablature; 4-panel entrance door with 4-pane fanlight above. Single bay, single storey wing projecting to right with margin around and modern door at centre. Flanking symmetrically disposed cement rendered link walls projecting to E and

W with doorways to rear garden, cement rendered with cement raised margins.

4-pane timber sash and case windows at upper floor, modern glazing at ground floor. 2-panel inner entrance door with etched glass upper and 2-pane fanlight above. Grey slate piended roof with cast-iron gutters and downpipes. Vertically-boarded timber door in E link wall, wrought-iron gate in W link wall.

BOUNDARY WALLS: random rubble walls bounding W and N side of garden. Random rubble wall to Low Askomil, stugged and droved square gatepiers, corniced with semicircular facetted caps. Roughcast retaining wall with iron spikes on top bordering N side of drive.
