Description
This is a dovecote located about 50 metres north-west of Holbrook House Hotel, possibly dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from local stone, rendered with red brick linings, and features a conoid plain clay tiled roof topped with a stone crown. The dovecote is circular in shape and has a segmental arched doorway on the south side, with a 4-light unglazed window above it in a matching opening, which may have been added later. There is a similar window on the north side. The crown of the dovecote includes an upstand for bird arches and is finished with a ball finial. Inside, the nesting holes are all lined with brick.
