Description

Holbrook Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble with Doulting stone dressings, and has a hipped roof covered in plain clay tiles, with ashlar chimney stacks set diagonally. The south elevation is single-storied with attics, and has three bays. It features thin wave-mould mullioned windows with pointed arched lights and solid spandrels, set under flat arches with labels. The windows are three-light in the outer bays and two-light in a gabled dormer over the central bay. There are further gabled attic windows on the side elevations. A central, projecting gabled porch has a plain flat arched opening and a glazed door. The interior was not inspected. The farmhouse is likely an early model farm, and the nearby outbuildings to the north have remained largely unchanged.
