Description

This is a town house, dating to circa 1750, as part of a row of three buildings in Leg Square, Shepton Mallet. It was altered in the late 19th century. The roof is covered with slate and roughcast rendering. The building has two bays and extends over two storeys plus an attic. The front door has a square-head architrave with a triangular pediment supported by moulded brackets. To the left of the door is a flush sash window with four lights, and to the right is a modern casement window. Above, on the first floor, are two sash windows with four lights, which are flush-mounted. A multi-paned shop casement is on the right-hand side, featuring a radiused corner.
