Description

This is a town house, likely dating from around 1830. The front is constructed of brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, while the grey slate roof runs parallel to the street. It is a three-story, double-fronted building. A rendered plinth incorporates a recessed bootscraper, and there are two steps leading to the front door, which is centrally located to the west. The door itself consists of five fielded panels with a radial bar fanlight set within a round-arched doorcase, featuring pilasters and an open pediment. There are four windows per storey, each with painted stone sills and wedge lintels featuring cambered soffits and false keystones made of three voussoirs. The recessed, horned sash windows have 12 panes on the first and second floors, and 6 panes on the third floor, with exposed sash boxes. An arched passage doorway to the east has a boarded door and a plain fanlight. The parapet features a decorative frieze and a modillion cornice. Gable chimneys are present.

The rear of the building, presented as two separate houses, is rendered and features replaced architectural details. The eastern section has a two-story outshut with a lean-to roof, plus a further extension including a second-story conservatory supported by braced posts. The third storey above the outshut has two recessed 12-pane sashes, a flush verge, and a west ridge chimney. The western section includes a six-panel door with a triangular overlight, a nearly flush 16-pane sash window to the first floor, an altered tall, thin stair window, a 12-pane recessed sash to the second floor, and a casement window with two 2-pane lights and an arched 2-pane fanlight above to the third floor. The interior has not been inspected.
