Description

The Hollies is a town house built around 1750. It is constructed from limestone rubble and has a pantile roof with coped verges. The building has an "L"-shaped plan and stands two stories high with four bays. It features sash windows with glazing bars set in plain stone surrounds. The door opening is square-headed, with a plain stone doorcase topped by a triangular pediment supported by Tuscan half columns. There is a moulded eaves cornice along the roofline. To the left side, there is a projecting gable wing that includes a half-glazed door in its inward elevation and a sash window in the end elevation. Additionally, there are 2-light mullioned windows on the left return.
