3/75 North Boundary wall and gateway with piers, 5 metres to North of The Pinnacles (gateway anti piers formerly listed) 19.4.61

GV II

Wall and ornamental gateway. Probably C18. Ham stone. Gate piers in ashlar, 600 mm square: plinths buried; crowned with cornice moulds crowned with stepped bases to tall pyramidal pinnacles with inset decoration, total height about 2.75 metres; piers 1.35 metres apart, between them a C20 gate of no importance. Wall of cut and squared Ham stone 1.3 metres high, with thin shaped coping, total length about 21 metres, with return to house. Wall and gateway add considerably to setting of house.
