Description

Trinity Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in East Chinnock. It’s constructed primarily of local stone, with the first two bays using cut and squared stone while the remaining bays are rubble, all rendered with a whitewash finish. The building has a thatched roof with simple verge details and brick chimney stacks at each end. The cottage is two storeys high and originally had four bays. It features casement windows, with the lower windows in bays 3 and 4 having exposed timber lintels. The lower windows in bays 1 and 2 are distinguished by stone architraves with beaded detailing, mullions, and moulded sills; bay 1 has a two-light window and bay 2 has a three-light window. A 20th-century thatched porch is situated between bays 2 and 3.
