Description
Yews Farm is a house with early 18th century origins located on the south side of High Street in East Chinnock. The building is constructed of local stone with Ham stone dressings and features Welsh slate roofs with bargeboarded gables, which have replaced the original thatch. It has brick chimney stacks at both ends. The house is two stories tall and has three bays. The ground floor includes triple sash windows in wood architraved frames for bays one and three, while bay two has a single pane sash window with four panes. Above, there are 16-pane sash windows in architraved frames, with later segmental and eared brick arches. The entrance door, located between bays one and two, features six reeded panels and is framed by a surround of Doric pilasters and an entablature. Additionally, there is a blocked oval window at mezzanine level to the left of bay one.
