Description

Dawe's Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located in East Chinnock. The building is constructed of ham stone, dressed with ashlar, and has brick chimney stacks. The roof is covered with Bridgwater patent triple angle clay tiles. The farmhouse is two storeys high and originally had three bays. It features ovolo-mould mullioned windows with rectangular leaded panes and old iron opening casements; the windows are four-light on the ground floor and three-light above. The central entrance has a six-panel door, the upper four panels fielded, within a plain surround with a slightly projecting head. Two almost eaves-height offset buttresses are present on the South gable. A rear extension has been added.
