Description

This workshop, located 2 meters north of The Cottage, dates from the early 19th century. It is built of brick in English garden wall bond with stone quoins and local stone side walls. The roof is hipped and covered with plain clay tiles, featuring courses of fish scale tiles near the ridge, and there are no chimneys. The building is two stories tall and has three bays. A central door from the late 20th century is flanked by casement windows on the ground floor and 20-pane sash windows on the first floor, all with segmental gauged brick arches above. There is a modern extension to the north. The workshop likely had connections with the adjoining timber joinery yard and holds good group value with the neighboring Latchmore.
