Framework knitters' workshop and attached outbuildings, now museum. c.1840, the workshop replacing a smaller workshop of c.1829, restored c.1970. Workshop of red brick with slate roof and single red brick stack to rear. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Doorway with plank door under segmental arch. To the right is a single 9 light glazing bar casement. Above is a single similar 15 light casement. The right gable wall has a doorway with plank door and single glazing bar casement to the right both under segmental arches. Above is a single C20 glazing bar casement. Attached to the rear left is a red brick and pantile single storey, 2 bay outbuilding with similar projecting 4 bay range which is attached to further workshop, listed as a separate item. Outbuildings with 2 doorways with stable doors, the projecting range has a doorway with plank door leading to the cesspit, to the left is an entrance leading to the 2 privys and 2 urinals, further left is a doorway with plank door, the single bay on the far left is slightly set back and has a similar doorway and door. Purchased in the C19 by William Parker, hosier.
