Description
The Frameknitter's Workshop and attached privies, located to the rear of Nos. 69-73 on Nottingham Road, date from around 1800. This two-storey building is constructed of red brick and features both slate and pantile roofs. On the west gable, there is a small brick chimney stack. The south front of the workshop has two pairs of plank doors on the ground floor that provide access to storage, and above these doors is a long 11-light casement window that reaches the eaves. The east gable front includes an external stone staircase leading to a plank doorway on the upper floor. The north front also features two pairs of plank doors on the ground floor, with another 11-light casement window above. Finally, the west gable has a small single-storey privy block with three plank doors and a pantile roof.
