RUDDINGTON CHAPEL STREET (south side) Former framework knitters' workshop now part of museum complex, east block

Ex-Framework knitters' workshop, now museum. c.1840 replacing a smaller workshop of c.1829, restored c.1970. Red brick. Slate roof. 2 red brick stacks to the rear. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with plank door under segmental arch. Either side are single 9 light glazing bar casements. Above is a single similar 11 light casement and to the right a single similar 13 light casement. Attached to the left and set back is a 2 bay lean-to with 2 plank doors. Attached to the right is a range of outbuildings connected to further workshop, listed as a separate item. Purchased in the C19 by William Parker, hosier.
