Description

This is a pair of cottages located in Montacute, primarily dating from the 19th century. They are constructed of ham stone ashlar, with a plain clay tiled roof punctuated by coped gables and rebuilt brick chimney stacks. The cottages are two storeys high, with a three-bay arrangement. A plinth runs along the base. The upper floor features three-light horizontal bar casement windows set within plain openings. The lower floor has three-light chamfer-mullioned windows, fitted with horizontal bar inserts, in bays one and three; no labels are present on these windows. Plain doorways, each with boarded doors, are situated to the left of bay one, in the centre of bay two, and to the right of bay three. The interior has not been inspected.
