Description
No. 12 Middle Street is a house in a row, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from roughly cut and squared ham stone with ashlar dressings and has a Welsh slate roof supported by abutments. The building has two storeys and three bays.
On the upper floor, there are two-light hollow-chamfer mullioned windows set in chamfered recesses. The lower floor features matching three-light windows with labels above the second and third bays, all of which are rectangular leaded windows. Some of the windows have iron-framed opening lights with external curl stays. To the left of the first bay on the lower floor, there is a two-light small-pane casement window from the early 20th century. To the right of the first bay, there is a boarded door in a plain opening beneath a stone lintel. Between the second and third bays, there is a chamfered cambered-arched doorway with a label, which has a boarded door. The interior has not been seen.
