Description

This is a pair of cottages in a row, built in the early 19th century in Wells. The exterior is of random stone rubble, with a clay pantiled roof, a plain gable to the south, and brick chimney stacks. The cottages have two storeys and three bays. The outer bays feature sixteen-pane sash windows on both levels, with exposed sash boxes and timber lintels over the ground-floor windows. The centre bay on the first floor has paired eight-pane sashes, with a plain boarded entrance door below, set within an ashlar surround with a segmental-arched head. The interior has not been inspected.
