Description

No. 16 on St John Street is an early 19th-century house that is part of a row of buildings. The exterior is rendered and colourwashed over rubble, topped with a clay pantiled roof that extends on both sides, and features a brick chimney stack. The house has two storeys and two bays. It has sash windows with 12 panes and thick glazing bars in plain openings. The ground floor bay on the left has a moulded flat hood. There is a 20th-century entrance door on the right, set within a timber architrave and topped with a pediment-style timber hood supported by brackets. The interior has not been inspected. Nos. 8-18 on St John Street form a terrace that maintains a consistent design.
