Description
No. 12 on St John Street is a house from the early 19th century, part of a row of similar buildings. It has a rendered and colourwashed exterior over rubble, with a clay pantiled roof that extends on both sides and a brick chimney stack. The house is two storeys high and features two bays. The sash windows have 12 panes each, with thick glazing bars in plain openings. The window in the first bay on the ground floor has a moulded flat hood above it. The entrance is located in the second bay, featuring a 20th-century door set within a timber architrave, topped with a timber pediment-type hood supported by brackets. The interior has not been inspected. Nos. 8-18 on St John Street form a terrace with a consistent design.
