Description

Bell Cottage is a cottage from the 18th century, located in a row of buildings on St John Street in Wells. The exterior features a rendered and colourwashed finish over rubble, with a concrete tiled roof supported by abutments and brick chimney stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with three bays. It includes a horizontal bar casement window with three lights on the ground floor and two lights above, along with a plain central doorway that has a four-flush panel door. The steeper pitch of the roof suggests that this cottage may have been built earlier than the nearby properties. The interior has not been inspected.
