Description
This barn, located 80 metres northeast of Appley Court Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and has some 20th-century additions. It is constructed from cob, random rubble, and breeze blocks, and features a slate roof that is hipped to the right, with a catslide roof over the entrance bay and an extended projection to the right. The barn consists of five bays, with a three-and-a-half bay cob section supported by three pairs of jointed cruck trusses, one of which has been repaired. The left side has been extended by one bay using breeze blocks, which includes a set of 20th-century double doors. The entrance to the barn is marked by a random rubble projection, with the opposite entrance blocked and featuring a late 19th-century window.
