Description
This barn, located approximately 50 meters southeast of Court Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and early to mid-18th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing set on a clunch rubble plinth, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The structure has a three-bay plan, along with two additional bays from an earlier barn. The three-bay section has central doors at the front, and the roof is half-hipped to the right. The left end of the barn connects to the end bays of the earlier barn, which used to project further forward but is now severed and open. Inside, there is an 18th-century clasped-purlin roof with curved inner principals, as well as a 17th-century clasped-purlin roof featuring two surviving queen-strut trusses and curved windbraces.
