Description

This barn, located approximately 70 metres southeast of Court Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof and a brick plinth. The barn features a central gabled midstrey and a lean-to on the left side of the midstrey. It has five bays and includes arched braces to the tie beams and top plates, as well as halved and bladed scarfs. The storey posts have chamfered jowls, and the roof is supported by side purlins, which are pegged at the ridge.
