Description
Landwick Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier, featuring rear ranges that are timber framed and plastered, with some weatherboarding and red plain tiled roofs. The early 19th century front range is constructed of red brick and has a hipped red plain tiled roof, with chimney stacks made of red brick on both the right and left sides, as well as two additional chimney stacks at the rear. The house has two storeys and the front elevation displays a three-window arrangement of small paned vertically sliding sashes with horns. The central entrance consists of a two-panel, two-light door topped by a semi-circular light with tracery, a panelled soffit, and an open pediment.
The rear left ranges feature a two-by-two window arrangement on the first floor and a one-by-one arrangement on the ground floor. There is a boarded door with a moulded surround and a flat canopy supported by brackets. Inside, the staircase is adorned with stick balusters, and the six-panel doors have reeded moulding with moulded surrounds and panelled window shutters. The bedrooms contain moulded cast iron fireplaces, and there is one ornate marble fireplace featuring a moulded cast iron surround, a brass frieze, and tiles decorated with classical and cherub motifs.
