Description
No. 1, including garden walls and stables, is a service wing of a former vicarage that is now a separate house, dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed clunch rubble and features an old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. It has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front, which has three windows and is at right angles to the main house, includes two three-light casements under segmental arches on the ground floor and three casements of three, three, and two lights on the first floor. The entrance is located in the left gable wall facing the road. The rear of the building has irregular small casements and a large projecting lateral stack, primarily made of brick and tapering towards the top. The interior has not been inspected. To the right, a short section of garden wall leads to the front entrance gate of The Old Vicarage. To the left, walls made of coursed rubble with decorative brick top courses and tiled copings form two walled gardens alongside the road. At the rear, there is an 18th-century stable block featuring curved inner-principal trusses. The service wing was previously listed as the stable block.
