Description
This is a house, likely dating from the early 18th century, that was later refronted in the early 19th century and extended in the early 20th century. The walls are roughcast, with a brick extension, and the roof is covered in old plain tiles with brick stacks. The original building had a 4-unit plan, potentially originally two or more cottages, and has been extended to the rear. The front has four windows and a parapet, with ogee copper canopies over the first-floor windows. A rectangular projection on the right-hand side contains a four-light casement window. Other windows include two-light casements on the first floor, and a small tripartite sash window to the left of centre. A porch is located in the angle of the projection, although a segmental canopy of the former entrance remains above the window in the extreme left bay. The roof has a stack on the right gable and two further ridge stacks. The rear extensions include a two-storey, hexagonal corner turret. The interior remains uninspected.
