Description

These are two houses, originally a single property, dating from the 17th century, and possibly earlier. The houses are constructed of coursed clunch rubble with timber framing and some rendering. They have a thatched roof with a brick ridge stack. The original plan comprised four units. The building stands one storey high with attics. The front has an irregular arrangement of four windows, two plank doors, and four two-light casement windows with leaded glass, one of which is combined with the left door. Four small dormers, also with leaded glazing, are visible. The wall construction shows various breaks and straight joints, and may be partially timber framed. A brick stack rises above the party wall. A small 20th-century extension is located to the right, returning around the rear. The left gable wall is timber framed. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
