Description
Myrtle Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed clunch rubble, featuring some brick dressings and brick elements, and has old plain-tile roofs with a brick gable stack. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with attics. The front elevation has three windows and includes a six-panel door located under a 19th-century tiled canopy, flanked by 16-pane sash windows that have brick quoins. The first floor features similar sash windows alongside a smaller window, and all windows are topped with segmental arches. A small brick range is set back to the left of the main structure, and there is a narrow brick stack to the left. The right gable includes an attic window, while a small leaded casement window is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
