Description

Thame Cottage is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed clunch rubble and features an old plain-tile roof with brick stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys. The front has four windows and a brick dentil eaves course, with a regular arrangement of three 3-light casements. The door is located to the left of centre within a 19th-century open porch, and all windows have segmental arches. On the first floor, there are casements with arrangements of 3, 3, 2, and 3 lights, all featuring leaded lights. The roof is hipped to the left and returns to a rear wing. There are stacks on the right gable, to the left of the doorway, and in a gabled projection on the left end wall. The lower rear wing has a hipped roof dormer. The interior has not been inspected.
