Description

This barn, located approximately 20 meters west of Cottage Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century. It features a timber frame constructed in square framing, with weatherboard cladding and a plinth made of coursed limestone rubble. The roof is covered with asbestos sheets and has a gabled design. The barn has four bays and is arranged in an L-plan. The farmyard front includes plank double doors with strap hinges and a small inner door, while other doors are from the 20th century. Inside, the structure has post bracing to the tie beam and wall plate, a queen-strut roof, butt purlins, and windbraces at the top level of the purlins, with some elements dating to the 20th century.
