Description

This barn, located 20 meters west of Wood Farmhouse, dates from the early 17th century and consists of three bays. It features a timber frame that is partially plastered and mainly covered with weatherboarding. The roof, which was originally thatched, is now made of corrugated asbestos. The barn showcases complete and high-quality framing for its period, including stout arch-braces at the open trusses, arch wind-braced close-studding with wattle-and-daub, and a wind-braced butt purlin roof. There are various boarded doors. The nearby 19th and 20th-century structures do not hold special interest.
