Description
This barn, located immediately adjacent to Wood Farmhouse, dates from the late 16th century. It is timber-framed and rendered, having previously been weatherboarded, with a roof covered in corrugated iron. The structure consists of three corresponding bays, featuring full-height, widely spaced studs and reversed and cranked windbraces at the corners. The trusses include long arched braces. The roof is constructed with clasped purlins, diminished principals, windbraces, and a lower row of unstepped butt purlins. Originally, the entry was located in the central bay.
