Description
The barn at Wood House Farm, dating from the 17th century, features a timber frame construction with weatherboarding, clay lump, and wattle and daub, topped with black glazed pantiles. The barn has six bays and includes large doorways in the fifth bay, with an opposing lower doorway leading to a lean-to at the rear. The timber frame is characterized by straight cross braces in all sections. Between bays two and three, there is a partition made of clay lump and timber framing. The three-tier roof, possibly renewed in the 18th century, has narrow collars and braced ties, with one tie inscribed "C Brighton." The farmhouse associated with the barn is not listed.
