Description
Church farmhouse is a Lobby-Entrance type farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century added wing. The building features a rendered and under-built timber frame, a brick added wing, and pantiled roofs. It stands two storeys high with an attic. On the first floor, there are two 18th-century three-light windows with metal casements and leaded diamond panes. The ground floor has two 19th-century three-light mullioned windows with horizontal glazing bars. A single sloping dormer with metal casements and leaded panes is present. The house has an off-centre axial stack, with the former front door now located internally opposite the stack. There are later lean-tos added to the side and rear. Inside, a winding stair is positioned to the facade side of the stack. The structure includes jowled wall posts and arch braced ties, as well as eight principal roof trusses with collars and butt-purlins. The later wing is one storey with an attic, featuring a panelled front door, two sloping dormers, and a gable with tumbling-in.
