Description
This barn, located 30 meters southwest of Church Farmhouse, dates back to the early 17th century, with a 19th-century addition on the east side. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a pantiled roof. The 19th-century section features a ground floor made of red brick. The main part of the barn consists of four bays, with a cart entrance located in the third bay from the west. There is a lean-to porch on the north side. The frame of the barn is largely intact, featuring a middle rail, a mix of small and heavy studs, and cranked reversed corner bracing. Two of the open trusses include arched braces, while the third tie beam, which shows no evidence of braces, has been replaced. The roof is wind-braced and includes clasped and butt purlins.
