Description
Sundial Cottage is a former farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, which was restored in 1985. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof. It has two storeys and follows a three-cell, lobby entry layout. The exterior features three mid-20th century small-paned casement windows and a mid-20th century door on the left side. There is an internal stack and an 18th-century external stack to the left. Inside, the well-restored interior showcases a fully exposed frame with plain joists, with those on the attic floor set on edge. There is a blocked external doorway that retains the remains of a four-centre arched head. Additionally, two windows with triangular mullions are intact, and there is evidence of other similar windows, which is a very unusual feature.
