Description

Russell House is an early 19th-century house located in Russell’s Green, Wilby. It is constructed of red brick with a hipped slated roof. The house is two storeys high and has three windows. The windows are inset sash windows with glazing bars, and the upper panes have pointed arched heads. Paired louvred shutters are present, with their ends supported on wooden consoles. A wooden dentil cornice sits above each window and set of shutters. The original porch features clasping pilasters, a frieze, and a dentil cornice. A half-glazed door and matching side lights are fitted, with glazing in a style consistent with the main windows. To the right of the original facade is a later 19th-century lean-to conservatory, glazed in a matching style.
